On the Green: ONE GONE GALLERY
Emily Asher Neiman, front ‘n center at one of her opening receptions in 2008.
Today’s edition of our mothership site redbankgreen has the scoop on a story we’d have preferred not to report — but here it is straight from the source:
“Yes, it’s true,” writes Emily Asher Neiman, proprietor of the borough-based art gallery that bears her name. “January 10th will be our final day at 16 Monmouth Street, in Red Bank, New Jersey.”
The downtown artspace, in business for less than a year at the former longtime location of Artforms, is going out with a recession-bustin’ bang for the next four days — and plans are afoot for Asher Neiman Gallery to live again in the Park Slope section of Brooklyn, where Emily and her boyfriend (web design wiz Simon Abramson) plan to relocate a little later in the year.
Oh, but it still stings, it still stings. You can ogle the rest of the story, right about here.
